*Update* Diet Product Review: April

No apparent side effects so far. No unusual stools or bloating etc. The tablets are quite large (see picture below). Taking them with 300ml of water before my main meals as directed.

I may have already found the May diet product to test. I think it will be African Mango Seed extract.

Diet Product Review: April

Boots Dual Action Carb & Fat Control 60 Tablets (£25.99)

As I am now loosing weight consistently I thought I would review some products relating to weight loss.

I’m going to try this product for the next 2 weeks taking the recommended 2 tablets with a main meal. I have averaged out my weight loss over the past few months and will see if that increases over the next 2 weeks.

I’ll report in this time next week on my weight loss and we shall look at previous weight loss and any trends before a final review in 2 weeks on the overall product plus the final verdict on any additional weight loss attributed to this product.

This week I lost 4 pounds or 1.5kg. I would expect to see an additional 30% weight loss using this product as other similar products suggest with their use. So next week I would expect a loss of 2kg or 5 pounds.

As usual these should be taken as part of a balanced calorie controlled diet which includes regular exercise. This product should not be taken by anyone with a BMI of less than 18.5.

Self, Self, Self, Self and Me

Going into therapy it is easy to feel bad that all we discuss is ourselves. Our needs or problems. Our issues and challenges. We forget that it is our time to be selfish and to discuss ourselves, falling into the trap of discussing the problems of others and ultimately asking “is it me?”.

Today going to my therapy session I had known that today was especially about me. What I liked and disliked about myself. In the course if the week I discovered Myers-Briggs testing as well which is very much about yourself as an individual.

I had emailed my list ahead of the session. He focused on my perceived lack of empathy and we established it is not as bad as I had assumed. The practical reaction to things is very useful. So what if I can’t hug it out or talking about the sticky and messy subject of feelings?

I guess the point of this post is that it’s ok to think about yourself. It’s ok to be selfish. Not slyly or off in a corner on your own. Embrace what you need or how you feel about things. If you especially focus more often on the needs of others then take the time to focus on yourself. I know this is easier said than done. Society teaches us that being selfish is wrong.

I’m giving you permission to be selfish. We all need that permission from ourselves. Embrace the things you fear the most and never address about your life. Talk through with your partner your goals or dreams that have felt “selfish” up to now. Air it all and feel better about YOU.

Sweet 16 Personality

Right off the bat here I should point out I do not believe in horoscopes and I would never suggest/recommend something on here that I didn’t fully believe in and from a logical perspective.

I discovered the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator a few days ago. I discovered my own personality type and have had some thoughts that have come out of that which I would like to share.

If you are wondering what this is then quite simply it is that we each belong to one of 16 different personality types.

Now I know that sounds crazy. Many of us feel we are unique and I do not wish to take that away from anyone. To a certain extent we are still unique however there are a lot of characteristics we share with people who belong to the same type as ourselves.

This blog cannot possibly cover the whole topic here in this post but I would encourage you all to go and take the test and read around your type before making a judgement.

My own reaction was to become upset in the first instance (I will share more about this in another post) before ultimately accepting the validity in the test and, more importantly, the results. These are not vague statements about personality as horoscope or tarot tends to be. There are logical and they will be very personal to you.

I will point you in the direction of further reading here.

If you do find the test and decide to take it then please (if you are brave enough) come back and share it here. Many examples of the test can be found online for free. I would encourage you to do several to ensure that you get an accurate result. I would also suggest that you may need some support if you do decide to take the test and read the results. In that scenario there can be no better site than this for support and advice.

Go into this with an open mind. The people in my life I have shown this to so far have had similar reactions to my own. This could be the ultimate key to what so many people call “finding themselves”.

If you do want further help and support after taking the test then again please come back and ask for it. I will help you all I can and for some personality types I have some free ebooks that are very in depth about how you can manage your relationships, careers and environment to get the best out of yourself.

Good luck!
